A little clarity. A little calm.

When is the right time to bring in a planner?

Begin with the help you need, and let that guide the timing.

← The Wedding Notebook

If you would like someone alongside you as you set a budget, compare venues and choose suppliers, speak to a full-service planner once you have an idea of your wedding date. Their advice can then inform the larger decisions. If the venue, photography and make-up are already booked, day-of coordination may help bring the arrangements together and manage the handover.

You need not have every detail settled before the first conversation. Share your date, venue, estimated guest numbers, confirmed bookings and the things taking up most of your thoughts. Ask when their involvement begins, how meetings work and what information they will need from you.

There is no single booking month that suits every couple. Consider your progress, the complexity of the day and the planner’s availability, leaving time to understand one another’s expectations.

One small place to begin

Gather your date, venue, guest numbers and confirmed bookings, then note the three things you would most like help with.

These notes offer general planning guidance. Adapt them to your wedding, your family and the arrangements you agree with each team. Confirm what each service includes before booking.
